Welcome to Hills Christian Church!
A Note From Our Lead Pastor
Welcome! We’re so glad that you’re taking a look at our website. We know visiting a church can be intimidating. Our goal is to make you feel at home. We want you to know that you don’t have to have your life in order before stepping through the doors. Come as you are and we’ll have the coffee ready. We can’t wait to meet you.
A little about us.
Hills Christian Church is a place where God meets people where they are. That means you belong here no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
Come as you are…
You don’t have to dress up or be any particular age. We don’t care who you voted for in the last election. And please don’t feel the need to pretend about anything. Hills Christian Church is a place where God meets people where they are, and we are all far from perfect. That means you belong here no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
…but don’t stay that way.
We encourage you to meet some people. Get involved and go deeper. Little steps you take toward God build on one another and lead to extraordinary results.
At Hills Christian Church we set Sundays aside, as the Church historically has, as a day for the Jesus family to gather to worship, to build relationships, to be equipped to live the life Jesus intends for us, and to not just attend a service but to BE the Church. Our worship is an acoustically-styled set of more modern worship songs, with some hymns mixed in. Our messages tend to be more along the lines of a teaching and range from studies of books of the Bible to current events to topics that are important in our lives. We also hold a weekly communion time for us to remember Jesus’ sacrifice and respond in gratefulness. This is open to all believers. Our atmosphere is very casual and we like to think that our time together is more of a family “get-together” than a formal “service.” So dress casual, grab a warm beverage on your way in, and come join us!
Our Sundays are much more than this as well. Follow the link to learn more.
If you are new to HCC we would love to invite your Nursery-5th Grade kids to be part of CORE Kids during the service. Our check-in station is behind the worship area.
Service Times & Location
Christmas Sunday-we will join Meridian Point Church at 10:00am at the CORE Christian Community Center.
We Are CORE
A community of Christians who do many things, not just a Sunday service. The idea is to challenge you to some very specific areas to help you grow in your life as a Christian. We believe if you commit to the four parts of the CORE you will find yourself growing in your relationship to God and better equipped to engage the world around you.
Leading kids to Christ, Lifting them to become disciples, and Launching them into their schools, neighborhoods, and communities to make a difference for Christ.
Raising faithful and obedient children is an awesome task, and God knows you need the loving support of the church as you train and nurture your kids spiritually. Our teachers are here to partner with parents as they seek to lay a spiritual foundation that will, in God’s timing, lead your child into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Our Ministries for Your Kids
If you are new to HCC we would love to invite your Nursery-5th grade kids to be part of CORE Kids. Upon your arrival you will bring your Nursery-5th Grade kids to our kids area behind where we worship. Register your kids at our check-in station, tour the classrooms (if you would like to), and meet the teachers.
The first week of the month is our Family Service. We invite K-5th grade kids to join their families in “Big” service so they can worship with their parents. So be aware we will not have CORE Kids programs for K-5th grade during this time.
Sunday @ 10 am
In 2020, we will be taking our K-5th Graders through the Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum on Sunday mornings. Through these 44 stories, your children will discover that Jesus is at the center of God’s great story of salvation – and at the center of their story, too.
Sundays @ 1:30 pm
Parents, while you attend Equip Groups, we have some very COOL things going on in the Children’s Building. Each week we will have a different theme that your kiddos can get excited about.
Nursery-Preschool meet downstairs in the Children’s Building for some fun of their own as well!
Youth group is a place where you can hang out, meet new friends, and grow in your faith. Bring your friends for a night of fun. Join us Saturday nights at the CORE Christian Community Center from 6-8 pm.
High School Youth Group meets at the CORE Christian Community Center on Sundays from 6-8 pm. This year we will be looking at ways to grow in our faith and develop long lasting relationships with others in our youth group while learning how to reach our community, school friends, and neighbors.
At Hills Christian Church we don’t “pass a plate.” We believe Christians are to give cheerfully and not under compulsion. Generosity is to be an automatic discipline and joy in the life of Christians.
Our ministries and ministry partners are provided for by the generosity of those whom God has brought together here with us. A copy of our budget is available to anyone who would like one. Just let one of our staff know.
How to Give
Type in your total amount. Select which fund and frequency, and then hit the “NEXT” button. From there, you’ll be redirected to our secure giving page where you’ll input your information to complete the giving process.
Your generosity is immensely appreciated. Our online system is called Subsplash, which allows for simple giving from a variety of platforms, including mobile giving. This reduces our transaction costs, so more of your giving goes directly to our ministries. This method also makes it easy for you to give anywhere and whenever you want. It’s fast, simple, and secure.
